We believe in fair and transparent refund policies. Here's everything you need to know about refunds and cancellations at TutorSkool.
Full Refund Eligible
- •Cancellation more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson
- •Tutor no-show or cancellation
- •Technical issues on our platform preventing the lesson
- •First lesson guarantee - if you're not satisfied with your first lesson
Partial Refund / Credit
- •Cancellation 12-24 hours before the lesson (50% refund)
- •Lesson significantly shorter than booked duration
- •Quality issues reported within 24 hours of the lesson
No Refund
- •Student no-show without prior notice
- •Cancellation less than 12 hours before the lesson
- •Completed lessons without reported issues
- •Disputes raised more than 7 days after the lesson

1. First Lesson Guarantee
We want you to find the perfect tutor. If you're not satisfied with your first lesson with a new tutor, we'll refund your payment in full or help you find another tutor at no additional cost. This guarantee applies to the first lesson with each new tutor you try.
2. Cancellation by Students
To cancel a lesson, go to "My Bookings" in your dashboard and click "Cancel Lesson". You'll see your refund eligibility before confirming.
3. Cancellation by Tutors
If a tutor cancels a lesson, you will receive a full refund automatically. We also offer the option to reschedule with the same tutor or receive a credit to book with another tutor.
Tutors who frequently cancel may face penalties including reduced visibility on the platform.
4. Technical Issues
If technical issues on our platform prevent you from attending or completing a lesson, you're eligible for a full refund. Please report the issue within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time.
5. Quality Disputes
If you're unsatisfied with the quality of a lesson, please report it within 24 hours. Our support team will review the case and may offer:
- Full or partial refund
- Credit for future lessons
- Free replacement lesson with another tutor
6. Package Refunds
For lesson packages, refunds are calculated based on the individual lesson rate minus completed lessons. The discounted package rate applies only to completed packages.
7. Processing Time
Refunds are processed as follows:
- Credit card/Debit card: 5-7 business days
- UPI: 2-3 business days
- Net Banking: 5-7 business days
- Wallet credit: Instant
8. How to Request a Refund
- Go to "My Bookings" in your dashboard
- Find the lesson and click on the three-dot menu
- Select "Request Refund"
- Provide the reason for your request
- Submit and wait for our team to review (usually within 24-48 hours)
